TERRAFORM MUKURU INITIATIVE

In Mukuru informal settlement, Nairobi Space Station is working with Wajukuu Arts to construct a mini-wetland that filters out pollution from the Ngong River. Led by Abdul Rop and Willy Ng’ang’a, this initiative will provide clean water for plants and trees while simultaneously creating a sculptural installation using large concrete vessels to construct the containment system for each marsh area.
