Nori Pao premieres Messages to Our Future Selves: Full Moon Prophecy Ritual

For NSEW Nori Pao will be presenting a short film, objects, and photographs generated from her project Message to Our Future Selves, which was made in collaboration with Kairos Futura as part of The Wild Future Initiative, Summer 2022. In Message to Our Future Selves, Nori led participants through recording prophecies to their future selves on clay tablets that were later fired and buried under the full moon to be unearthed in the year 2222.

During the course of this exhibition, Nori will be conducting The Burden Transmutation Ritual in three phases. The first will take place at the opening, where volunteers will surrender their burdens to the clay—recording them to later be released and then transformed.
