UTE MOUNTAIN RESERVATION ART EXPEDiTion

As Part of Our Ongoing Wild Future Field Research Trips, we’ll be visiting artists and designers on the Ute Mountain Reservation in Southern Colorado as we build long term programs to include them in arts opportunities in the Roaring Fork Valley. The Ute people lived in Aspen and the Elk Mountains and Crystal River Valley before being forced off their land and onto reservations in Southern Colorado. Our mission is to give young artists from the Ute Mountain Reservation the chance to collaborate in ongoing Kairos programming in Aspen.

This trip is an initial visit to the Ute Mountain Reservation for 3 days to meet with artists there, see the surrounding area and learn about Ute craft traditions and innovators in Ute design.

Registration required and group size is limited to 6 people. register at director@thefutureisonearth.org
